Name:
Jessica Marie Stanley

Age // Birthdate:
18 // February 3, 1988

Location:
Forks, Washington

Occupation:
She's working on getting a job

Sexual Preference:
Heterosexual

Marital Status:
(Woefully) Single

Family:
Mother - Katherine Stanley
Father - Robert Stanley

Personality:
The first thing you notice about Jessica is that she's a complete and total chatterbox. It's almost as if there's no filter between her mind and her mouth, so she has to say every little thought about every little thing when she's talking to you. Needless to say, it can get to be very, very annoying. But, if you put up with her annoying prattle for long enough, you'll see that she has the capacity to be a good friend. Better than some girls her age can be, anyway. She can be very friendly and open to people if she likes them. If she doesn't like you, however, it won't be a secret. Jessica has as much capacity to give someone an absolutely frigid cold shoulder and be a vindictive bitch as she does to engage them in friendly conversation.

When it comes to feelings, such as an interest in a guy, she's the type who asks her friends first instead of acting on it on her own first. It might just be the typical 'high school age girl' persona that will likely break when she gets older. She can also get very jealous of others. But, she can skillfully hide it behind a friendly face for the most part. Unless the person she envies really crosses the line. Then things might get a little ugly. Now, a lot of people might think that she has the emotional range of a teaspoon...and sadly enough, they would be right. Jess only has a few settings that the typical high school girl has. Happy, jealous, angry, upset. That's pretty much it. Sometimes it's extremely simple to push her buttons and toy with her emotions, whether or not someone is intentionally trying to make her feel bad or whatever.

The only other emotion she's experienced that breaks from her usual range is heartbreak. When she and Mike broke up before the summer was even up, it left Jess feeling awful. It's not something she's experienced before in her life and, so far, the feeling hasn't gone away. She wants to be with Mike, but he doesn't want to be with her. And that hurts. That hurt and sadness has welled up and, though she tries to keep the feelings hidden behind her smokescreen of endless gossip and talking, it's still there. It's what makes her sit up in her room some nights and cry. Not that she will ever let anyone else know that. It would be far too embarassing. And probably impossible to save face after...

Jess is, overall, one of those mildly superficial sorts of girls that just wants to be accepted and have lots of friends. Every teenage girl's dream, right?

Biography:
Jessica Marie Stanley was born to Robert and Katherine Stanley in the little town of Forks, Washington. It was a town where everyone and their mom knew you, so when the news popped up that the town gossip (a.k.a. Jessica's mom) was bringing home a new baby, everyone and their mom knew about it. Word spread fast in Forks. Like a wildfire, actually. The couple barely had their new baby home for half a day when people came over to see her, bringing with them every sort of baked good ever thought up by mankind. It seemed like half the women in town wanted to meet little Jessica. Perhaps to see if she'd be anything like her gossip of a mother? There was no way to tell. Either way, Jess was a "celebrity baby"...or as close to being one as one could get in Forks.

From the very beginning, it seemed like Jess was always making noise. When she was a baby, it was the constant crying. When she was a toddler it was the constant babbling baby talk that made absolutely no sense at all. When she grew into a little girl, it was the constant talking once she'd learned how to string together a complete sentence. It never ended, the noise. Jess just had a need to communicate and get her thoughts across, no matter how she actually did it. Even with the nevending noise, she was a pleasant child to have around the house. The constant chatter was always paired with constant smiles and laughter as well. She was the little princess that all her family adored. Bouncy curly hair, a smile to melt hearts and the charm that could get you to listen to a half an hour speech about collectible Barbie dolls.

Life at home was nice for her. Her mother made a lot of money working at the bank and her dad was a successful businessman. Most of the things she asked for, she got with little or no hesitation on her parents' part. It wasn't enough to spoil her completely rotten, but it did keep her happy. And, of course, it gave her something to talk about with her friends from day to day. She was guilty of having a multitude of 'Daddy's Girl' moments a few times when she was growing up into a young lady. Can you blame her? What sort of dad could say no to the curls and the dimples? And the tried and tested "Pretty please?".

Seeing as Forks was such a small town, it only made sense that Jessica had the same friends for most of her school years. But there was a specific group that she'd known for about forever. She was friends with Mike Newton, Lauren Mallory, Angela Weber, Ben Cheney and even Eric Yorkie (on a good day). There were others, of course, but those were the ones she hung around with the most as they got older and, eventually, when they all made it to high school. They made quite the little "clique" of sorts. The chatterbox, the popular girl, the popular boy, the super nice girl, the smart guy. (And the nerd, if you counted Eric). With them by her side, her freshman and sophomore year breezed by. Thank goodness for that, since it was on the boring side. It was Forks High, after all.

In all honesty, Jess thought her junior year was going to be painfully normal and boring. But it started to seem better once she really started acknowleding her crush on Mike Newton. She didn't know how she'd missed it before. That adorable smile and cute face. She really wanted him to ask her out or something and she'd even laid the groundwork with some flirting. But it seemed that Mike wasn't paying any attention to that. And when Bella Swan came...that only made things worse. Mike followed the girl around like a lost little puppy. It was sickening. Jess only befriended Bella because of the attention the girl was getting, but she genuinely came to like her as time passed. Minus being jealous that Mike wanted to date her...

It seemed that Bella's presence wouldn't be a complete and total hindrance. Her encouragement got Mike to ask Jess out and they dated for part of the summer. But it seemed that Mike wasn't as into it as Jess was and he ended up dumping her before the summer was even out. Heartbroken and upset, she went right back to being jealous of Bella for still having Mike's attentions even with a boyfriend of her own.

When Edward Cullen left, it set off a whole crazy chain of events. Bella turned into a total zombie and didn't say more than two words to anyone in school. This was hugely annoying and it got Jess really angry and really exasperated in no time flat. Even though she tried to be friendly when Bella got a little better, that just ended up blowing up right in her face. Thus far, Jess hasn't forgiven the other girl for acting the way she did when Jess had only been trying to help her feel better.

That's Jessica Stanley for you.
